Crawford Moodie
Crawford Moodie is a Professor at the Institute for Social Marketing and Health (ISMH) at the University of Stirling. He works on the impacts of commercial marketing of tobacco, alcohol and gambling on consumer attitudes and behaviour. He has authored more than 150 publications and reports on tobacco, alcohol or gambling. He is an expert on how tobacco packaging is used as a promotional tool and how it is, or could be, used to discourage smoking, and has presented this work to policy makers in many countries. He was an advisor for the European Commission for the selection, development, and testing, of the warnings on tobacco products introduced across the European Union as a result of the Tobacco Products Directive. Crawford also teaches on tobacco control and supervises PhD students specialising in tobacco or alcohol marketing.
