Angela Attwood

Professor Angela S. Attwood is a distinguished scholar at the University of Bristol's School of Psychological Science. Her research focuses on the psychological and biological factors underlying drug use, particularly alcohol, smoking and vaping. Her work takes a translational approach interrogating mechanisms underlying health behaviour to inform novel behavioural interventions to support behaviour change. This includes understanding individual differences in readiness to engage in behaviour change and response to health communication strategies (including health warnings).
