Amandine Garde

Amandine Garde is Professor of Law at the University of Liverpool. Her research focuses on the relationship between public health, consumer protection, international trade and human rights, and how the law can promote healthier environments.

She is founding director of the Law & NCD Unit which regularly advises international organisations, NGOs, public health agencies and governments in Europe and beyond on the legal strategies of the commercial determinants of health, including the alcohol industry. She is also a qualified solicitor.
