Russia - Chechen leader calls for alcohol prohibition in Russia

President of Russia’s Chechen republic Ramzan Kadyrov has called for alcohol prohibition in Russia. Onishchenko called for the price of a bottle of strong liquor to be increased to $100. Russia’s public health chief Gennady Onishchenko backed the idea but said that it was “unachievable.”
