Latest data on alcohol consumption

European Commission updated data for total alcohol consumption 2014/2015.

EU average alcohol consumption is stable at 10.2 litres of pure alcohol consumed per person aged 15+ per year (recorded + unrecorded). Lowest alcohol consumption is in Italy of 6.1 litres, followed by Malta with 7.2 litres. Highest consuming countries are in the Eastern part of Europe, with highest consumption in Lithuanian at 16.2 litres.
