Country Implementation

This partner will work directly with 5 different companies located in the territory under its jurisdiction and will implement two basic level interventions and three intermediate ones.

The case studies have been selected from the most recent interventions made immediately after the entry into force of the new Italian law regulating alcohol and work place. According to the new law the work places with high risk exposure must be regularly monitored by the health authorities and the occupational physician. So, the two cases included in the project represent the first interventions made in the new context. Both companies offer services of public utilities and operate with the joint capital of the municipalities involved .Both projects/ interventions were proposed by the Local Health Authority have an average number of 100 employees and the activities performed are included in the list of professions that according to the law must have appropriate psycho physical conditions. Both cases consisted mainly in information and training activities for different types of employees fro both the administration and production sectors. It is important to mention that in both cases the companies already had a policy in place related to alcohol use in the work place.

The pilot studies will be done in about 5-6 small companies having an average number of 150 employees. The companies are both public and private and represent different economic sectors that incldue different types of activites either services or industrial production. The taregt of the pilot intervdentions will incldue both employeees and workers from the rpoduction lines.
